Our Mobility, Low impact cardio, Strength and Flexibility Training are run by Vicky Whorlow – A qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer with a master’s degree in applied Exercise and Health experience.
The programme will be a Chair Based Physical Activity Session which will include the following elements: mobility, low impact cardio, strength training, core practises and flexibility. Balance and coordination will also be subtly targeted through chair-based activities.
Participation in exercise represents a behavioural approach for safely managing many functional, symptomatic, and quality of life consequences of multiple sclerosis (MS). Some researchers have suggested that exercise training, defined as planned, structured, and repetitive physical activity undertaken for improving yout physical fitness levels, is the single most effective nonpharmacological approach for managing symptoms of MS and its functional consequences.
